Each and every child in this post has at least one thing in common. They have all been alone.Some for 10 years, some for even longer than that. They have had no mom no dad. Very little to call their own. Minimal food and clothing. Minimal love and attention for that matter. They have experienced true lonliness in every sense of the word. All to often we sit alone at home bored out of out minds when we have nothing to do or no one to spend time with and we consider that lonely.When in all actuallity we haven't the faintest idea of what true loneliness is, but these kids no all to well the pain and heartache that being lonely brings. The consequences of what being lonely is. They have done NOTHING in their life to have been given this cruel and harsh punishment.
Heath was borth April 8th 2001. He has just recently turned 11 years old. Does he look like an 11 year old to you? Heath has been listed on Reece's Rainbow for as long as I have been "stalking" their website. I have know of this sweet little guys existance for almost 3 years.I cannot imagine what this amazingly sweet and beautiful little has endured in all of his years of existance, but that does not mean he is any less worthy or that his need for a family is any less. In fact in my eyes that makes his need evn greater. These kids don't even expect as much as you or I do. Their only really wish is to have a FAMILY. This is Adam. Like Heath he has just recently turned 11. He is luckier than Heath because he has been able to attend a mainstream kindergarten for the last year. He has never really had anyone to advocate for him or raise funds for him but hopefully this blog and word of mouth wqill change all of that for this sweet little boy. He was clearly not in the mood to have his picture taken and he needs some help interacting with his peers,but LOVE and siblings will do absolute WONDERS for this little boy.

Bobby is one of if not the oldest child with Down Syndrome listed of Reece's Rainbow. He was born October 30th 1998. He is 5 years and 9 months younger that I am. He has been waiting for a family for 13 long years. He is a very old fashioned gentleman and kissed the hand of his social worker when he met her. He is a apparently a sweet young man who is obviously just aching for love and affection of someone (anyone) for that matter. Just like the rest of us he just wants somebody to love and to be loved in return.
