    In the past few days a couple of very terrible situations have come to my attention. Keegan (the blue- eyed cutie above who happens to have Down Syndrome)  is just a little over a year old and is facing permanent transfer to an adult mental institution.He lives in Eastern Europe and the orphanage where he currently resides is closing down. At 15 months old this boys is facing having to spend the rest of his LIFE with the very ill people. People who are bi-polar and schizophrenic, people who's lights have slowly faded away because they themselves were delt the same hand as Keegan many years ago. The people in this institution are not only children like Keegan but ADULTS.

     Between the ages of  0-3 are when children gain most of their development. Speaking and walking are developed within the first three years.  Imagine spending the most formative years of your life with grown men who rock back and forth babbling to themselves for hours on end.Imagine  never getting to get experience the love and comfort of having of a mother. That is Keegan's fate if someone does not spring him from his home country SOON.

    He currently has $1,240 to help with the cost of his adoption. He has an issue with his eyes crossing which I suspect is easily correctable.

Keegan can be adopted by married couples. They number of children they already have in their home does not matter.

I posted about Sarah just last week. This little girl who is 6 years old is in a very desperate  situation. She is in a place where children who are 14 years old have the body size of a 1 year old. A place where the children get their diapers changed 1 time a day and where they are fed very little. Sometimes they are only fed and changed 6 days out of the week. I cannot even put into words how terrible the place she is at is.She only has a 2 weeks to find a family before her file is sent back and she cannot be adopted.

She is blind. Can you imagine being blind is a place like that? From what I hear blindness is a very managable special need and children who are blind go on to live independently and have wondeful lives. Please consider Sarah and if you cannot adopt her the least you can do is share her story

She has $287.50 in her account and once she has a committed family I am sure that there will be more assistance for her adoption.We ladies will make sure of it.

Sarah can be adopted by pretty much anyone singles, married couples, older parents, large families, you name it. She is also in one of the cheaper countries to adopt from.

This little girl has endured more heartbreak and pain then you can ever imagine.Yet she still smiles.

You think you have it bad because someone takes your parking spot, or your wearing last years

jeans,but you have a roof over your head.Food on your table.A family who loves you. You are

PRIVALGED in so many ways.This has not been Sarah's experience in life. In her past 6 years she

has suffered more rejection than most people have to deal with in a lifetime. She has been told time

and again how useless and unworthy she is .She has 2 more weeks before her file is sent back and

she is once again told that she is unworthy of being loved.I on the other hand believe the complete

opposite. I believe that she is worthy beyond words, and that God has a purpose for her beyond what

 any of us can comprehend.We may are all not the same and we each come with our own set of

challenges. Just like Sarah. I have the utmost FAITH that someone will rescue this sweet girl before

it is to late. I BELIEVE that God has big plans for her and will not leave her.  How would you feel if

 Sarah was your child? If you knew that your baby went to bed everynight unloved, laying in soiled

diapers. What if you baby had layed in a crib all day long and recieved only enough nutrients to

sustain her, not even enough to fill her up.Just think about that. Now think about how God feels

 knowing his tiny child is laying there and none of his children are caring for her.As of now she is

URGENT does not even begin to describe the situation that theses children are in. Each and every  single child on this page is going to age out of the ability to be adopted....that is unless YOU step up and do something about it .As of now the are all in ADULT MENTAL INSTITUTIONS. That is no place for any 15 year old child to be. Reece's Rainbow has been so blessed to recently recieve the files of lots of older kids, several who are still 15 and so dearly clinging on to hope that they will be adopted. Due to their age families need to have their homestudy approved before they make an official committment.We truely are their last chance at a family.So here it goes.

Miss Laurel carries a beautiful smile despite all of the love she has lacked in her life.She has so many people advocating for her. Trying so desperately to help her find a family. She has a grant of $9,907 from her RR fund and an additional $3,000 grant. All together she has $12,907 towards her adoption. A team that met her said that she is very smart and friendly and that she WANTS A FAMILY TO CALL HER OWN.

Karen was born January 12,1996. Even though she is just  a few months past the age of 16 she can still be adopted because she has a younger sister . She and her sister Chrystyna are in seperate orphanages but both  are in the same region. For Karen to be adopted she MUST be adopted with her sister. She is healthy and smart and has no diagnosed special needs. She goes to school and has no negative behavioral issues. She is just a teen in need of a loving family!

10 AND UP

Each and every child in this post has at least one thing in common. They have all been alone.Some for 10 years, some for even longer than that. They have had no mom no dad. Very little to call their own. Minimal food and clothing. Minimal love and attention for that matter. They have experienced true lonliness in every sense of the word. All to often we sit alone at home bored out of out minds when we have nothing to do or no one to spend time with and we consider that lonely.When in all actuallity we haven't the faintest idea of what true loneliness is, but these kids no all to well the pain and heartache that being lonely brings. The consequences of what being lonely is. They have done NOTHING in their life to have been given this cruel and harsh punishment.

Heath was borth April 8th 2001. He has just recently turned 11 years old. Does he look like an 11 year old to you? Heath has been listed on Reece's Rainbow for as long as I have been "stalking" their website. I have know of this sweet little guys existance for almost 3 years.I cannot imagine what this amazingly sweet and beautiful little has endured in all of his years of existance, but that does not mean he is any less worthy or that his need for a family is any less. In fact in my eyes that makes his need evn greater. These kids don't even expect as much as you or I do. Their only really wish is to have a FAMILY. To them that is the greates gift they could ever recieve. Are you their ultimate present?Heath has been in an istitution not for days or weeks or months but for YEARS. Yep your read that right YEARS. Heath has a grant of  $6390.94.

This is Adam. Like Heath he has just recently turned 11. He is luckier than Heath because he has been able to attend a mainstream kindergarten for the last year. He has never really had anyone to advocate for him or raise funds for him but hopefully this blog and word of mouth wqill change all of that for this sweet little boy. He was clearly not in the mood to have his picture taken and he needs some help interacting with his peers,but LOVE and siblings will do absolute WONDERS for this little boy.

Bobby is one of if not the oldest child with Down Syndrome listed of Reece's Rainbow. He was born October 30th 1998. He is 5 years and 9 months younger that I am. He has been waiting for a family for 13 long years. He is a very old fashioned gentleman and kissed the hand of his social worker when he met her. He is a apparently a sweet young man who is obviously just aching for love and affection of someone (anyone) for that matter. Just like the rest of us he just wants somebody to love and to be loved in return.

Emmitt's time to shine

                                                            MEET EMMITT

He is a beautiful 13 year old little boy who's life has been left in disarray due to the circumstances

he was born into. Do me a favor, Imagine the worst day in your life! Then multiply that by 4,813.

Imagine having to relive your worst day ever 4,813. That is what this sweet boy has had to do. He is

living in a mental institution for quite some time but has still managed to stay loving and happy, and

EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT.  He has spina bifida that mostly affects his legs. He cannot walk at

this time but, he is incredibly loving towards people that he encounters.Two seperate families were

blessed with the oppertunity to meet Emmitt while  adopting children of their own and are just

 begging for Emmitt to have a family. My hope is that you will take the time to share this

 blog. I am not asking you to adopt him, or donate, or anything else (all though adopt or donating

for this sweet guy would be extra super awesome) just please spread the word about him. It only

takes  seconds to re-post this blog. You never know who Emmitt's parents may be, and by re-posting

this you just may give this little guy the life he may be dreaming of.
